The photos tell the story on the cosmetic condition, an original owner boat, exterior average for the age to better, interior definitely better, cockpit ice maker inoperable but freezer works fine, horn inop but has a new replacement, otherwise all else works and boat runs well according to the owner. Stock #353515 Spacious, Well Equipped And Maintain Family Cruiser FALL SPECIAL - Winter storage paid through 4/30/2024 The Maxum 3300 SCR is a borderline "sport cruiser" with power enough to get up over 40 MPH and cruise efficiently at around 25 to 30, with what has been described by reviewers as "sprightly" handling. Typical of Maxum was their efficient use of space in their layouts. These boats are known for feeling big for their size, and the 3300 SCR ("SE" after 2003) is a good example, with plenty of cockpit seating as well as at the helm, including back-to-back cockpit / helm passenger seats that fold down flat and expand into a sun lounger. For long-season boaters the camper back full enclosure can take the chill off, and for party boaters, plans need not be changed due to weather because ten folks can still hang out above the cabin even on a rainy day with room for another half dozen or more below. Speaking of down below, with a queen berth forward, a convertible dinette and convertible settee aft, six can sleep in climate-controlled comfort, take care of themselves in the large wet head with vanity sink, pull-out hand shower and vacu-flush toilet, and feed themselves from the galley featuring two burner stove, microwave, sink and under-counter refrigerator with freezer. One difference, perhaps the only, between this SCR and later SE models is the light maple woodwork instead of the darker cherry of the later models, resulting in a much brighter and open-feeling cabin, something readily noticed since the bulk of the interior photos for this listing were taken with natural lighting. Finally, another Maxum quality was their elegance, meaning simplicity, of design. Nothing exotic, proven technologies, sensible sourcing of components, easy to maintain by any skilled in the art, but wrapped into an overall package that seemed very upscale and modern for the price at the time. So, whether the mission is taking a bunch of folks to a more distant destination made shorter by speed, or spending a weekend or week with the family exploring, this is a boat that offers among the best three qualities a boat can have... versatility, simplicity and style. Reason for selling is downsizing.

The boat needs a bit of TLC, but the seller has kept it clean. Over time, the seats have become stained and one has a tear at the seam. The cover should be replaced, but it does the job keeping out the elements when not in use. The seller indicates that everything is in working order. The hot pipes have been cut, so only fresh cold water is available. Stock #307384 1999 Chaparral 240 signature powered by a Mercruiser 250 HP 5.7L Thunderbolt with 643 hours on the meter.
