This Mako is in good condition for the age. The Yamahas run great, the owner confirms. The T-top looks great, it does look like the wiring was redone recently, and overall, appears to be in good condition. I did not feel any soft spots. Mako Marine builds fishing boats for the serious inshore and offshore angler. Mako Marine was founded in 1967 by Robert Schwebke in the Miami superb of Hialeah. Mako was one of the pioneers of the center console boat, promoting them nationally. The 261B was one of Mako's more popular models for many years. It is a trailerable offshore Center Console fisherman, with a no-nonsense layout and has superb open-water handling characteristics. This 261B is powered by twin Yamaha 225 HP engines. The engines have 1159 hours on them. Enough to propel this 28-footer to top speed of just under 50 MPH and a comfortable, efficient cruising speed of 30 MPH. This boat was heavily built on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull. The 261B delivers one of the more comfortable rides available in a boat this size. Storage is excellent with three big fish boxes forward and two in-deck compartments.

1997 Mako Walkaround I'm selling my Mako 1997 boat. It's a 24 ft. walkaround. The engine is a Yahama 2011 Vmax four stroke with only 72 hours. We bought the engine from a family back in 2015, prior to that he bought the engine and had it stored in his home for a while in the box. The hours that it has used is from us using it since we bought it. Has a new Garmin GPS that I purchased. When I purchased the bought I had it buffed ($1,000) , I had a custom made cover made for it ($1,500), I bought a new radio and speaker system for it. 2 seats were changed. I purchased a new anchor ($200), changed the shower hose and many more upgrades were done. It has a lot of storage compartments and everything has been kept in pristine condition, I've prided myself in taking care of this boat and if you take a look at it , it shows. It's in excellent working condition, I'm just looking to upgrade to something else and would like to sell it. I'm not looking to take a trade in, just sell it. I'm including the trailer that it comes with it, I recently changed both axles on the trailer so they are brand new, spent over a $1,000 just changing the axles. I've invested around $10,000 in upgrades to make it look the way it does and to have it run the way it does. It's been kept covered at all times and washed thoroughly after every use. 2007 Mako 17 CC with Four Stroke Yamaha 1981 Comercial Hull that was used as a life guard rescue boat was completely gutted, re- gelcoated, and interior awlgripped. The transom was raised to hold a 25" motor and a 2008 Yamaha Four Stroke has been installed. The smaler console was raised 12" so it is now a full stand up console and a new rocket launcher was installed. This boat is the neatest small boat on the water. It is super tough, and will run 45 mph! The boat is currently in dry storage and has JL Audio Stereo, a new fuel tank was installed about 5 years ago, and it has a Tucci removable his speed umbrella for shade.
