This auction is for a 1964? Cruisers Inc. with a 65 hp. Mercury 4 Cylinder Outboard and Trailer. The Boat needs to restored including front deck replacement, complete refinish etc. The motor does turn over and was stored inside but other than that I know nothing about it. The trailer pulls very nicely down the road with lights. The hull appears to be in pretty good shape with no gouges or apparent signs of rot other than some soft spots on front deck. This boat is in very good running condition. My original intention was to refit all systems and have accumulated all the major parts to do so. Check below to see all items included that will need to be installed. I have had the boat since 2006 (believe I'm the 4th owner) and have taken it on several trips over the years without problem. Had to cancel two trips this year due to family obligations. Reason for selling is my current situation is not conducive to keeping the boat. Overall length is 29'10" including the swim platform with a beam of 10'8". It has a hardtop and large cockpit, yet the cabin is still very spacious for a 28 footer. Original motor was a Marine Power 305, but previous owner repowered with a 350 block in 1992. Hours are unknown due to the hour-meter being faulty and disconnected when I purchased the vessel. I knew the previous owner and felt confident with the boat/engine condition. I have put roughly 60 hours on the engine. Shaft, cutlass bearing, and seal were replaced in 2008. The seal is PSS dripless. Propeller is a Nibral 16x18 new this year. Also have a spare bronze prop. Dockage available. Per Matt:About the Sloop Crom Abu (Currently alongside at the owners property on Grosse Ile, MI.) This is hull Number SSU79505H687. The current condition of the boat is best described to a boat person as Bristol Plus. Possibly the three most important attributes is that she has always been a freshwater boat, was not a race boat in the past 20 years and is best described as unmolested. This is to say that there will be no surprises that are the result of owner modifications that might be undocumented or not class legal. As hull is production number 505, it is one of the last of the original production run and only a few more were ever made in two later short production runs. The real importance of this is that it is a vinyl-ester and not a polyester resin hull. This has significant value as to water intrusion into the hull laminate. And, it also already has all the improvements that were made during the years of production. While she is equipped to handle a spinnaker and there is one in the sail inventory, if she were to go racing, some upgrades might be desired as these have not been done. As I recall, the sail inventory includes two each mainsails (one is on the boom and covered) and one genoa (currently on the roller headstay) and another jib I have never seen out of its bag. All Dacron and are for the most part in respectable condition for use as cruising sails. There is a full set of bunk cushions that are original and in usable condition. The head is equipped with the Canadian required pump-out for the otherwise portable MSD. She had been stored on a very nice long bunk galvanized trailer. So, the hull has never been deformed during winter storage. While the engine is an older OMC Yachtwin (with an extended shaft for operator convenience) it has been well cared for and within my memory, it has been completely reliable. Known Issues: While there is some high moisture area in the port working deck and forward hold, it has not caused any issue. The core of the starboard deck did go bad and was replaced about two years ago. Both of the aft-most lifeline stantions did get broken through the deck (as is typical for the class - it is a well know design issue) and were effectively repaired so as to prevent future problems. The center board may need some repair, but this is also typical of the class.This is a personal evaluation and it not intended to eliminate due diligence on the part of a prospective buyer, but it is my personal opinion that there should be no reservations re it's safety and overall condition. $14000, 7347524761
